Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data we collect on genesy-x.com, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. This English version is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

Data controller

Data collected and purposes

  • Contact form: name, email address and message, to answer your request and, where relevant, send a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Free resources: name and email address, to send you the download link you asked for. Legal basis: your request.
  • Booking a call: this happens on Cal.com, which collects the information it needs under its own privacy policy.
  • Audience measurement: Google Analytics, only if you accept it (see Cookies).

The reviews shown on the site come from our Google Business Profile and are already public.

Recipients and service providers

Your data is never sold or transferred. Only Genesy.X has access to it, along with the technical providers that run the site:

  • Netlify, Inc.: website hosting
  • Web3Forms: delivery of contact form messages
  • Resend: email notifications
  • Supabase: server functions (notifications, Google reviews)
  • Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics, if you accept it

Some of these providers are based in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention periods

  • Messages and resource requests: 3 years from our last exchange.
  • If you become a client: for the duration of the relationship, then as required by law (10 years for accounting records).
  • Google Analytics cookies: 13 months at most.
  • Your cookie choice: 6 months, after which we ask again.

Cookies and audience measurement

This site uses no advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and where visitors come from, only if you accept it.

  • Without your consent, no Google script is loaded and no cookie is set. Only your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, so we do not ask again for 6 months.
  • With your consent, Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<id> cookies, for 13 months at most, without automatic extension on later visits.

You can change your mind at any time; if you withdraw your consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to set instructions for what happens to it after your death. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@genesy-x.com. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: cnil.fr, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to data is limited to what is strictly necessary.
